PRESIDENT'S ANNUAL REPORT - VIRGINIA PADDOCK 2007-2008 The Rochester Americans Booster Club had a successful year, despite not having a game worn Jersey to raffle. Throughout the year we have hosted several visiting Booster Clubs. We gave some club coupons to use at the concession stands at the games. We hosted the Binghamton Senators to a dinner. We held our annual Meet the Players Dinner in November at the Lodge on the Green. There were new players to meet and greet in a setting other than at the game. We had a roookie dance as well as a $1.00 dance. The Booster Club again went on several trips to follow the team. We went to Cleveland and Binghamton. We had to cancel the trip to Manchester and Springfield due to no buses being avaialable. We had a successful year with our 50/50 raffles. We had several Youth Hockey teams that helped sell raffle tickets and did an excellent job. I would also like to thank all the members who helped sell 50/50 tickets. We had 252 members in 2007-2008. Some of the new members have gotten involved by working the games and attending various events throughout the year. The Booster Club was involved in many Charity events this year. We were again involved in doing a Christmas Family Project Bundle Up, Bell ringing for the Salvation Army, Al Sigl Walk and Project Linus. The Booster Club continues to collect can tabs to benefit the Kidney Foundation. This year we did not have a Euchre Tournament. The Nancy Milliman Player Incentive Award with the Player Incentive awards being donated to the Exec Foundation, in Nancy Milliman's name to help further donations to local minor hockey teams throughout the community. We also presented End of Season Awards to the Players "on the ice" at the last game of the season. We also presented the players, coaches and the front office executives with a brief case/ computer bag. We had a club picnic in September. It was a small group but we all had a great time. We also had an Assistant's dinner as well ss a Christmas Dinner with ornamnet exchange. We had 10 members that attended the annual Booster Club Conventions. I would like to thank all of the previous Officers and Committee Chairman for all of their hard work last year as well as this year's Officers and Committee Chairman. A BIG THANK YOU to ALL the Booster Club memebers who worked as well as those that didn't, for without you there would be not be a Booster Club. We are looking forward to another successful year in 2008- 2009. Virginia L. Paddock Booster Club President
