- (8/08) The Schuyler Teen Center in Watkins Glen, New York
is trying to raise funds to keep their center open and available
to teenagers as their center will be losing federal grant aid
in the fall and may be forced to close down. They are planning
an auction for the week of August 4-10 and are looking for sports
related items to auction off. Is anyone willing to donate any
souvenirs or autographed pieces of sporting memorabilia to be
included in their auction? If you wish to donate, contact Andrea
Mattoon, Schuyler Teen Center Director at Catholic Charities-Schuyler
County, 607 N. Franklin St., Watkins Glen, NY 14891. Her phone
number is (607) 535-2050. The address for the Schuyler Teen Center
is 208 N. Franklin Street, Watkins Glen, NY 14891 and the phone
number is (607) 535-4113. Any sports item or financial donation
will be greatly appreciated. A monetary donation was sent to
the Schuyler Teen Center in Watkins Glen to help towards funding
needed to keep the center open and continue programs and services
for teenagers in that area. Our booster club members were asked
to send sports-related items to the teen center for their August
4-10 fund-raising auction.
