Legacy Teen Cancer Foundation to help pay for trophies and prizes
at their golf tournament so that the proceeds support programs
for teens
with cancer. This organization helped our booster club sell raffle
tickets on April 2.
A thank you letter was received from Two Doors
Community Resource Center for the monetary donation given for
scholarships for after-school kids who need them.
Thank you to my assistants, Donna Adams and
Mike Nolan, for their decisions in determining monetary donations
to various charitable and hockey organizations.

- (4/10) A monetary donation was given to the Two Doors Community
Resource Center toward scholarships for at-risk children who
are not able to achieve grade level at Greece elementary schools
and whose families are financially challenged. Their volunteers
were very successful on March 12 in helping our booster club
with the second highest amount of raffle tickets sold this season.
Thank you letters were received from the Rochester
Ice Cats for the
monetary donation to the hockey tournament they hosted and the
Scottsville Sabretooth hockey team for a tournament entry fee
in Corning.

- (3/10) A monetary donation was given to Rochester Special
Hockey to help defer the cost of ice for an All-Star Tournament
for special needs players.
Monetary donations will be given to the following
hockey organizations helping to sell raffle tickets in February
for our booster club: PeeWee Major AA hockey team for a tournament
fee; Greece Thunder Hockey Booster Club to help defray team's
various costs; and Scottsville Sabretooths Squirt A hockey team
toward the entry fee for a tournament in Corning.
Thank yous were received from the Ronald McDonald
House Charities of Rochester, NY, Inc. and the Arc Foundation
of Monroe for monetary donations received.

- (2/10) A monetary donation was given to the Perinton Youth
Hockey Bruins Squirt 2 hockey team for a tournament entry fee.
This team was very successful in selling the most raffle tickets
so far this year for the booster club.
Monetary donations were given to the following
charities: St. Joseph's Villa Annual Fund to help care for kids
in crisis; Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester, NY,
Inc. to keep a family close for two days; and the ARC Foundation
of Monroe to help individuals with disabilities and special needs.

Hockey Squirt AA-1 hockey team for entry fees for tournaments.
This team was helpful selling raffle tickets for our booster
club on November 20.

County Youth Hockey Squirt B-1 North-Fire Blades hockey team
for monetary donation received.
A Perinton Youth Hockey Squirt hockey team
will be assisting our
booster club selling raffle tickets on January 8.

Youth Hockey Squirt B1 North-Fire Blades hockey team to be used
toward funding equipment, ice time, and tournament fees. This
hockey team did an excellent job selling 50/50 raffle tickets
for our booster club on October 25.

Pee Wee Minor AAA hockey team for a program ad and to help offset
tournament costs for the Rochester '98 Invitational Games the
team will be hosting for the third time. The tournament will
be held September 25-27 at ESL Sports Centre.

Cancer Association for the monetary donation sent to them.
A monetary donation was given to Greece Thunder
Hockey Booster Club for new equipment bags for next season's
Greece Thunder hockey team. On April 3 this team was very helpful
in selling the most raffle tickets sold at Blue Cross Arena for
our booster club this year.
A monetary donation was also given to the Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation towards funding for their "Bid for a
Cure." A special thank you to my assistants, Donna Adams
and Mike Nolan, for their help in making these monetary decisions
for hockey and charitable organizations.

new socks and new shells for the varsity team and new socks for
the junior varsity team.
- A monetary donation was given to help underwrite
ice costs for the Monroe County High School Hockey League Senior
Select hockey game with the proceeds going to CURE Childhood
Cancer Association.

Hockey Booster Club for an ad in the Spencerport Rangers Varsity
Hockey program. The CURE Childhood Cancer Association for one
month's daily parking for a family during a child's stay at the
hospital. The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester, NY
to provide for a family's stay for one day.

Eight grant applications or charitable requests
for donations have been received so far - two hockey groups are
already slated to sell raffle tickets for our booster club in

at the Amerks games so the Exec Foundation can start donating
money to their causes.

- (8/08) The Schuyler Teen Center in Watkins Glen, New York
is trying to raise funds to keep their center open and available
to teenagers as their center will be losing federal grant aid
in the fall and may be forced to close down. They are planning
an auction for the week of August 4-10 and are looking for sports
related items to auction off. Is anyone willing to donate any
souvenirs or autographed pieces of sporting memorabilia to be
included in their auction? If you wish to donate, contact Andrea
Mattoon, Schuyler Teen Center Director at Catholic Charities-Schuyler
County, 607 N. Franklin St., Watkins Glen, NY 14891. Her phone

number is (607) 535-4113. Any sports item or financial donation
will be greatly appreciated. A monetary donation was sent to
the Schuyler Teen Center in Watkins Glen to help towards funding
needed to keep the center open and continue programs and services
for teenagers in that area. Our booster club members were asked
to send sports-related items to the teen center for their August
4-10 fund-raising auction.

for competition in the states and nationals championships. Donations
were also given to St. Joseph's Villa to provide services for

ill or injured children.

wishes for people with developmental disabilities).
