The year end Awards will be better than ever, so keep up the good work.   Awards Report - Gary Schaeffer (12/09) The Nancy Milliman Award is off to a good start with the shut out on October 25, 2009 by Alexander Salak, a 3-0 victory over Syracuse. On November 20, 2009 we added Keaton Ellerby to the list with a hat trick, 5- 2 victory over Syracuse. What a game, it’s like the Hockey we all like to see and what do you think about the stick salute at center ice. Let’s make our contribution bigger than ever this year. Go Amerks !! We have received many donations for the meeting and the Awards Committee thanks everyone for their support. Attending the monthly meetings, helping out on game night, bus trips or attending any of the parties from October 1, 2008 thru March 31, 2009. This season could not happen without everyone's support. Last month it was 2 shut outs and now we have a 4 point Night by a Defenseman, Jason Garrison. He scored a goal and 3 assists on the January 11, 2009 game against Hamilton to win by a score of 6-5. This was another BIG night when the Booster Club traveled to Manchester to see a come back win of 5-3 on January 16, 2009. This was not only a HAT TRICK for Janis Sprukts, but another 4 Point Night by a Defenseman for Jason Garrison.    I am so proud to announce our year end total to be donated to the Nancy Milliman Players Incentive Award is a total of $250.00. The Booster Club adds $50.00 to this award every time a player scores a Hat Trick, Shut-Out or Defenseman has a four point night.    A thank you goes to the Whole Amerks TEAM for their efforts in this achievement.    GO-OOOOO Amerks!   Awards Report - Gary Schaeffer (1/09) Wow, What a difference a player makes being added to the TEAM. Yes I said to the TEAM, the Amerks are really turning the corner and starting to be a team to be reckoned with. The Booster Club adds $50.00 to this award every time a player scores a Hat Trick, Shut-Out or Defenseman has a four point night.    Yes, Mike Brodeur has done it for the Amerks with posting not 1 but 2 Shut-Outs on Dec 7 and 12. See you there!   Awards Report - Gary Schaeffer (3/08) Well the team did it again on February 2, 2008: we added another $50 to the check for the "Nancy Milliman Player Incentive Award".    Adam Dennis had a 3-0 shutout in game #50 against the Toronto Marlies. This is Adam Dennis's way of telling Buffalo "I'm ready to help when you need me."    Let's keep the puck scoring in our favor so we have more to cheer about.   Awards Report - Gary Schaeffer (2/08) It finally happened or was it a misprint? On January 12, 2008, #21 Marc-Andre Gragnani, scored a goal and 3 assists for a four point night as a defenseman. The stat sheet lists him as a defenseman or was he skating as a forward? Well let's give him credit no matter what his title was that night. Something to cheer about!
