Borrelli- Our Christmas Family
- (1/10) The family
this year was provided by the Irondequoit United Church of Christ.
The vans were packed. and off we went. Ann and Virginia Paddock,
Jim Clement and Gary Schaeffer went to deliver to our family.
We were greeted at the door by the mother. This is all for us,
a full Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings, fresh fruit, household
supplies and presents for the family. Wait till my husband and
children come home. Like good little elves we wished them a Merry
Christmas with a hug and goodbye.
The Charities Committee would like to thank
all who participated in making this family a Christmas to remember.

- (12/09) Our
Christmas family this year was provided by the Irondequoit United
Church of Christ. The father and mother have both had serious
illnesses requiring extended hospital stays. The mother is still
ill and the 17 year old daughter has had to step in to take over,
cooking meals, cleaning and caring for both her mother and younger
sister. Even before all the physical problems, money has always
been tight. They do their clothes shopping at the Goodwill Store.
The Christmas tree, with the ornaments, for
what each person would like for Christmas is next to the Booster
Club table at each game. You could also bring cleaning supplies
( dish soap, Windex, bathroom
cleaner, laundry soap ), paper products ( Kleenex, paper towels,
toilet paper etc. ), personal items ( toothpaste, tooth brush,
deodorant, band-aids etc.), non perishable foods ( cereal, Jell-O,
pudding,
cookies, etc.) or kitchen items ( foil, wax paper, plastic wrap
trash bags ) would also be a great help.
The items mentioned above can also be donated
at the Booster Club Christmas Party. Anything that you can do
to help this family would be greatly appreciated.

as a raffle prize.
Our top 3 winners were Margaret Ciaccia, Mark
Compitello & Dan Schafer. Congratulations to all of them.

- (1/09) A special
Thank You goes out to everyone who helped make our Christmas
Project a success. All the gifts that you bought for the family
and donations of food and money for there Christmas Dinner, were
very much appreciated.
- Our
Christmas Family consisted of Mom, Dad, and 5 children, 3 girls
and 2 boys.
When Donna Voelkl, Ann and Ginny Paddock arrived,
the Father was trying to remove the snow from the driveway. The
snow was so high, Donna, Ann and Ginny with the families help,
made a line and passed the food and presents to the front door
of the house. When inside they
placed the presents around a small live Christmas tree. They
were all filled with joy and their teary eyes were saying thank
you with the anticipation of Having a Merry Christmas.

- (12/08) It is
the time of the year that we donate to a Christmas Family. There
is a Tree next to the Booster Club table with stars on it. These
stars have the Family names on them and what they need. The Family
is a Mom, Dad, and 5 children.
We will also be collecting canned food for
them or you may donate
money toward food for their Christmas Dinner.
