President's Report - Virginia Paddock
(8/08) I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and staying cool in this hot weather. As we embark on a new season, we are looking forward to
working with the Front Office. We hope to have Adam Winslow and the
new President, if he is in town, at our August meeting at ESL. We will be
looking for workers at the games come fall. Help support the Club by
volunteering. If you have any suggestions for Events or fund raising
ideas please contact my self or a Board member.

(6/08) I hope everyone is having a good summer so far. We have moved the contents of the storage area from Lee Road to the Scottsville Road storage area. It will cost the club $16 a month less than the old one. Donna Voelkl, Ann Paddock and myself have gone through all materials in the storage area, kept what we had to be kept and placed it all in Rubber Maid Totes to protect it from water leaks, should it occur. We have made an inventory list that we know what is in storage. Hope to see you at the June 26th meeting at the Hidden Valley Clubhouse.
If you have any suggetsions for events or fund raising ideas contact me or any board member.

(5/08) I would like to thank the outgoing Officers and Board for the good job they did. I would like to thank all of you that voted for me. I will try to do the best job I can. Please feel free to call me, come to the
meetings or stop by the table next year with any suggestions or ideas for events or fund raisers. We also continue to need workers. The Club is only as good as the people who work to help it be better.

Outgoing President's Report - Jeff Savidge
(5/08) I As I write this report our hockey season has been over for one full week already. I want to take this opportunity to reflect back on, quite possibly, the most difficult season in Rochester Americans history.
It was a difficult season both on and off the ice. We all know the issues that have gone on within the Amerks organization. As a Booster Club we were faced with several challenges as well. For the first time in several years we were not supplied jersey's from the team to do a jersey raffle at our home games. The Booster Club has come to rely on the high
amount of income that we have made off these jersey raffles. This season also saw our 50/50 income become limited due to the smaller crowds. Unfortunately, the loss of this income impacted the clubs ability to have all of the functions that we usually schedule. However, through all of the adversity both on and off the ice, I am pleased to say that the core of the Booster Club stood strong and forged ahead. I would like to thank everyone that helped make this possible.
I have been asked several times over the past month what will happen to the Booster Club if for some reason Rochester does not have a team next season. While we all hope that this will not be the case, it is something that remains a possibility. If Rochester does not have a team next year, the Booster Club will still function and hold monthly meetings.
There are several AHL Booster Clubs out there that have not had teams for years. While this remains a possibility, I personally have strong feelings that one way or the other, Rochester will have a team next year.
This will be my last news article as President of the Booster Club. It has been a pleasure serving as President for the past two seasons. While there were several challenging times throughout the two seasons, through it all, I knew what an important job it was and completed it to the best of my abilities.
While I am confident that I was able to make the club better and make several positive changes, I could not have done it without the hard work of an outstanding Booster Club Board. Some of those Board members will move on to another term over the course of the next two years. I want to wish the best of continued success to Virginia Paddock, Laurie
Gavigan, and Mary Dibble.
I would also like to thank the outgoing board members. Thank you to Vice President Donna Voelkl, Secretary Norine Borrelli, and Member Communications Director Betty Grasta who have all served on the Board for the past two years along with myself. I also would like to thank Kris Ryan for six years of service on the Booster Club Board as
Transportation Chairperson. After six years of running several bus trips covering all parts of two different countries, Kris will be "retiring" as Transportation Chairperson. Anyone that has gone on a bus trip over the course of the past six seasons will know what a great job Kris did putting the trips together. Thank you to Kris for her years of service and the time
put into this position.
Also, thank you to all of the committee members for all of their time and hard work. As well, thank you to all of the people who volunteered their time to work at games.
The Booster Club is a very large organization and without the hard work and countless hours of volunteering from all of these people, the club would not be able to function.
Finally, I want to thank the entire Booster Club Membership. Without all of you, there would be no club. It is with mixed emotions that I write my last article as Booster Club President. It has truly been an honor to serve as your President and I look forward to seeing you all next season at the meetings and games.
Thank you to all and have a great Summer.—Jeffrey Savidge

(4/08) I would like to congratulate all of the newly elected officers. I am looking forward to working with them to make it a smooth transition from one board to the next. The new board will take over after the April general meeting.
The April meeting will also mark the month in which we celebrate all of the workers for the year, along with all of those who attended a Booster Club event. I hope that everyone who has worked a game this year makes it out to the April meeting.
We will not be making a playoff appearance this year so I would like to encourage everyone to come on out to the remaining home games over the next couple weeks and support the team. Although it has been a rough season on the ice, every member of the Booster Club joined so they could support the Rochester Americans. This includes the good years, along with the not so good ones. There are several uncertainties within the organization as we head into the off season. However, the one thing I am certain of is that as Rochester Booster Club members, we will be there for whatever team takes the ice wearing our red, white and blue next October.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the next meeting, and the remaining games.

(3/08) As the season winds down on the ice, there are several activities going on off the ice within the Booster Club.
The March meeting will be a very busy one. First of all, we will be holding our elections for office for the next two year term. I encourage everyone to come out and vote. As a reminder, you MUST have your membership card with you in order to receive a ballot to vote.
Also at the March meeting we will be voting for the next two year end awards that the Booster Club sponsors. Everyone in attendance at the meeting will be able to vote for the "Most Popular Player" along with"Rookie of the Year". The ballots will be counted and the winners announced at the meeting. The awards will be presented at the awards ceremony at the last home game.
In addition to voting for these two awards, the names will be drawn to see which Booster Club members will hand out awards at the awards ceremony. Anyone who has worked a game this season will be eligible to be drawn to hand out an award.
I look forward to seeing everyone out at the meeting. It is sure to be an eventful night.

President's Report - Jeff Savidge
(2/08) As we move into the second half of the season I want to take the opportunity to thank all of the board members who have worked so hard to make the year so successful so far. I would also like to thank all of the workers that have been working the games. I encourage others to come out and help work to sell raffle tickets. The more we sell the more the club makes to put towards club activities. You can sign up at the Booster Club tables behind section 217.
At the January meeting the nominations for office were held. Thank you to those that have stepped up to volunteer for nomination. The nominees are:
President: Virginia Paddock
Vice President: (No nominees)
Secretary: Jenny Schuber
Treasurer: Laurie Gavigan
Member Communication: Jan Fernandez
At the current time we have no nominee for Vice President. As mentioned in the Parliamentarian Report, we will have a special nomination for Vice President with the entire membership eligible for nomination at the February meeting. I encourage everyone to consider this very important position. If any one has any questions, regarding the position, they can contact me directly.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming games and Booster Club events.

(1/08) On behalf of the Rochester Americans Booster Club, I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy New Year.
I also want to remind everyone to come out to the January meeting. This will be a very important meeting as nominations for office will be at this meeting.

(12/7) The season is well underway and the Booster Club Board continues to work behind the scenes to make the club better.
Most recently we have launched a new look to our website which is a great upgrade from what we have had in the past. I encourage everyone to check it out. I think everyone will be impressed with the new look and constant updates that are being made to the site. I'd like to thank a new member Bill Flynn for taking ownership of the site and doing a great job on the updates. There are several other ideas we have that will be added to the site so keep checking for new updates and Booster Club news.
I also want to wish all of the Booster Club members along with the team, front office, and other booster clubs a safe and happy holiday season.
