By providing this code you will get the preferred rate of $96 per night plus 14% tax. This reservation can also be made on line at www.marriott.com and entering the group codes in the proper location on the reservation form.
Remember, the cut off date for early arrival reservations is August 10, 2009, no exceptions will be made.    On Friday January 16, 2009 at 8:00 am the Booster Club left Rochester by bus on our way to Manchester, New Hampshire. We arrived in Manchester about 3:00 pm, after checking into our hotel rooms, some of the people went walking to see the sites in the area. They found several restaurants . About 10 of us went to JW Hills Sport Bar and Grill for dinner. The food was great. We then walked 2 blocks back to the arena for the Monarchs game. We had great seats behind the Monarchs goal where we shoot at twice. Manchester scored first and we
thought it would be tough to came back, but back we came to win the game 5-3. Janis Sprukts tied the game at 3 to complete his hat trick and Shawn Matthias scored 46 seconds later to put us ahead 4-3, then Kendall McArdle scored into the empty net. It sure was a great win.

On Saturday morning we checked out of our hotel and bused down to Providence, Rhode Island to see the Bruins. We arrived there about 11:30 am. After we checked into the Hotel, several of us walked down to the Mall. This was a huge 7 story Mall with all kinds of stores,
just about any kind you could think of. We all got lunch at the food court and wandered into some of the stores. After we got back to the Hotel some of us got together to play Apples to Apples card game. What a riot. In the evening some of us met with the Providence Booster Club for a while because the game was tomorrow at 4:00 pm. Some watched the hockey games on TV or visited the Micro Brewery for dinner. Sunday morning we woke up to 6 inches of snow on the ground. After we loaded the bus, the driver took us to the Mall so people could get a good meal and look for bargains before we loaded the bus for the game. WOW!! We won another good game. We again came from behind to win a cliff hanger 4-3. The Providence Booster Club put snacks and soda on the bus for our trip home. It continued to snow off and on all day. We left for home at 6:25 pm in a snow storm. The roads were not real good in
Rhode Island and Massachusetts, but improved once we hit New York State. We arrived home at 1:30 am. All had a good time.

Transportation Report - Kris Ryan - Trip to Binghamton
(5/08) On March 22nd, 38 members of the Rochester Americans Booster Club took a bus trip to Binghamton to watch the Amerks play. Before the game we were treated to a wonderful dinner by the
Binghamton Booster Club. We all had a good time and enjoyed our last trip of the season.
With the season coming to an end and also my term as the Transportation Chairperson, I would like to thank EVERYONE who made these last 6 years very enjoyable. Without all of you that signed up each and every trip these trips would never have gone. We traveled to many different cities and even had a few plane trips to San Antonio and Houston. Each trip had its own lasting memories and experiences we will never forget. Who could forget the flat tires we had in Kentucky or the drum we brought along to Syracuse only to have it taken away or our famous saying “What happens in Cleveland stays in Cleveland” or whatever city we might have been in. I could go on and on and I’m sure we all have stories we won’t ever forget. We met a lot of friends along the way and formed some lasting relationships. I will miss doing the bus trips but will be helping out in whatever way I can to make this a smooth transition. Best of luck to the new board!
Everyone have a great summer and I hope to see you all in the fall.

Transportation Report - Kris Ryan
(4/08) The Saturday April 12, 2008 trip to Toronto for the Marlies game has been cancelled, due to not meeting the minimum number of sign-ups.

Transportation Report - Kris Ryan - Trip to Lake Erie
(3/08) On January 26, 2008, 48 people from the Rochester Americans Booster Club traveled to Lake Erie to watch the Amerks take on the Lake Erie Monsters.
We had a great bus ride and after arriving at the hotel we were hosted by the Cleveland Booster Club for dinner. We had a great dinner and spent some time with friends from Cleveland we hadn't seen in a while.
The Amerks ended up losing the game but we had a great time. Please come and join us on the next two trips that the Booster Club will be taking. We will be travelling to Binghamton on March 22nd and then off to Toronto on April 12th. Stop by the Booster Club table to sign up.
